- Be 18 years or older.
- Complete the Plus Gold Refining Ltd registration process in full before making any purchases.
During registration, you must provide accurate and up-to-date information. We reserve the right to verify the provided information through fraud prevention or credit reference agencies. This verification will not impact your credit rating.
2. Selling Precious Metals to Us
When selling precious metals to Plus Gold Refining Ltd:
- The seller must own the goods or have explicit permission from the owner.
- All sellers must provide valid photo identification.
- Individuals suspected to be under 18 years of age are required to present proof of age.

3. Payment and Pricing
- For postal scrap sales, the price is determined on the day the metal is received and processed at our office.
- For sweeps and larger quantities, the price will be determined upon completion of processing.
- Prices for purchases will be clearly stated before finalisation of an order.
If there is an error in the pricing, we will notify you with the corrected amount, and you may choose to proceed or cancel the transaction.
We reserve the right to adjust pricing on our website (www.plusgold.com) without prior notice, in line with market fluctuations.
4. Delivery
- All postage packages sent via our service are insured for up to £2,500. If you require full insurance coverage above this amount, please request additional pre-paid envelopes as needed.
- In the event of a claim under the insurance policy, the claim will be processed through the appropriate authorities. Please note, if the claim is still under review, we will not issue any payments until the claim is confirmed as valid.

- Deliveries will only be made to the address provided during the order process.
5. Cancellation and Refunds
By selling your scrap metals to us, you acknowledge that you intend to sell the items. If there are no issues with processing, such as discrepancies in weight or condition, we will proceed with the payment and complete the processing of the metals thereafter.
Refunds or returns of accepted items are generally not possible once the process has started. However, under exceptional circumstances, we may discuss possible solutions on a case-by-case basis.
6. Liability
- Plus Gold Refining Ltd is not responsible for any technical issues, disabling features, or viruses encountered on the website.
- Users publishing content on our website are responsible for any resulting claims or liabilities.
- Verbal orders for precious metals in any form will only be confirmed once full payment has been received.
7. Refining and Processing
- Scrap metal prices are subject to market fluctuations and are quoted based on melt and assay results.
- A fee of £9.60 per melt or £25 per full assay (plus VAT) will apply.
- Plus Gold Refining Ltd is not responsible for the condition of stones or jewellery during or after the removal of non-precious metals. See terms and conditions, 8. Removal of stones for further details.
Jobs with more than 10 items will automatically be melted into a bar and assayed for accuracy. By submitting items, customers agree to this process.
8. Removal of Stones
We exclusively purchase precious metals; therefore, non-precious items, including stones, are not included in the weight calculation. Customers are strongly encouraged to remove any stones from their jewellery before sending items by post or visiting us in-store.
Please note that we do not offer services for the removal and preservation of stones to be returned to the customer. If you wish to keep any stones, they must be removed prior to sending your items or visiting us.
For any stones left in the jewellery:
- We are not responsible for the condition of the stones after removal.
- If a significant number of stones are present, the jewellery may be melted into a bar to ensure an accurate evaluation.
9. Customer Complaints
We have a structured complaints process in place. If you are dissatisfied with our services or results, please contact us to speak with a manager. We aim to resolve issues amicably and professionally.
10. Website Content
